Dealing In The New Covenant

For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.  Hebrews 8:7, NIV We only emphasize that Christian life we are in is not based on another form of religious ritual but on a covenant. The question is what type of covenant are you in? Is it a covenant of religion or a covenant of love? It should be a covenant of love. Love is a person and that is God (see 1 John 4:16). The covenant we are in is a covenant based on who He is and not on who we are. It's based on what He has done and not on what we have done.  When you sign an agreement form, you understand what type of covenant or agreement you are signing in. And this is the reason why still many Christians missed the true essence of Christianity. It's because they don't understand the covenant they are in. In result, many are so called Christians are still living a life like they don't have Christ. There's no real transformation happened. They think Christian...

The Season Of Aloneness

"but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
John 4:14

How is the feeling of being alone? What do you do to cover that feeling of aloneness?

This is our questions to our young people during our last youth activity. They'd said that they feel lonely when they are alone, so what they do is they watch tv, play internet games, or eat foods.

But there is deeper than that. Some young people are being fall in the sin-trapped of alcohol, drugs, pornograpies, and wrong relationships and yet in the end they still end up lonely.

The truth is being alone can ruin our lives if we don't know what does it mean. Human is a social creature and we cannot live alone by our own selves.

In verses John 4:4-26 is a wonderful story best describes our emptiness.

In this story, a samaritan woman who had 5 husbands and currently living with unmarried partner which was adultery, came to Jacob's well to drew water and Jesus was already there. Jesus said to her,
“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

In this picture, we will see a woman who has an empty heart, looking not just for physical water but for spiritual water and that is true love that will quench her thirsty heart and Jesus knew it and He was the only one there. In the midst of 12 noon, where no one will drew water, he met Jesus waiting there.

Friends, in the midst of our emptiness, Jesus is the love that will truly quench our thirsty heart. If we will drink Him, His love will overflow into our hearts that we cannot contain it to the point that we can extend that unconditional love to others. It is only God who can give that kind of love. You will never give that kind of love if you didn't receive His perfect love.

Season of aloneness can also be distinguished as a season of emptiness. How do you see this season? Do you see it as punishment or a blessing? Season of aloneness is a perfect time to receive God's perfect love for you. As you begin to truly drink or receive His love, your life will never be the same again. That is when you become rooted and established in His love. If you came in to this season, know that it is not a punishment but a preparing, positioning, and building up stage for His greater purpose God has prepared for your life. Make Jesus your living water today. You can have joy, peace, contentment in the midst of the emptiness by knowing that the Lord is with you, for you and inside you.
