For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. Hebrews 8:7, NIV We only emphasize that Christian life we are in is not based on another form of religious ritual but on a covenant. The question is what type of covenant are you in? Is it a covenant of religion or a covenant of love? It should be a covenant of love. Love is a person and that is God (see 1 John 4:16). The covenant we are in is a covenant based on who He is and not on who we are. It's based on what He has done and not on what we have done. When you sign an agreement form, you understand what type of covenant or agreement you are signing in. And this is the reason why still many Christians missed the true essence of Christianity. It's because they don't understand the covenant they are in. In result, many are so called Christians are still living a life like they don't have Christ. There's no real transformation happened. They think Christian...

But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous."
Proverbs 13:22
Early this morning, the Lord reminded me about this verse and I was once again awestruck at His word. I was reminded that the striving, toiling and working hard of the sinner in order to gain wealth is only stored up for the righteous.
I remembered the story of Israelites when God took them in the land of Egypt and brought them to the promised land. Through God's help, they conquered a prosperous city that they did not build (Deu.6:10-12). A beautiful city that was built by others but God only gave it to His chosen nation Israel.
Note that all of the wealth of this world is from God and not really ours(Haggai 2:8) and humans are just stewards. But because of selfish ambitions, we strive to gain more wealth.
Ecclesiastes 2:6(ESV) also says,
"For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind."
We will see clearly here that the business of gathering and collecting wealth is a foolishness of a sinner. Otherwise, knowing that God is pleased with you is wisdom, knowledge and joy.
I think this is the main focused of our lives is to know that God is pleased with us. And as a believer, we became righteous before God because of the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ and not because of our own right doing(Rom.5:19). God sees us hidden in Him(Col.3:3). If Christ is holy, righteous, blameless and well pleasing in the Father's eyes, so are we because we are hidden in Christ. This should be the main life's goal of every humanity is to know who he/she in Christ in order to be truly prosperous. When you know you are righteous in Christ, that's when prosperity, long life, health and honor follows while we are here on earth, to bring glory to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thoughts for the day:
"The blessing of God is mine and His favor as his righteousness in Christ"
