For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. Hebrews 8:7, NIV We only emphasize that Christian life we are in is not based on another form of religious ritual but on a covenant. The question is what type of covenant are you in? Is it a covenant of religion or a covenant of love? It should be a covenant of love. Love is a person and that is God (see 1 John 4:16). The covenant we are in is a covenant based on who He is and not on who we are. It's based on what He has done and not on what we have done. When you sign an agreement form, you understand what type of covenant or agreement you are signing in. And this is the reason why still many Christians missed the true essence of Christianity. It's because they don't understand the covenant they are in. In result, many are so called Christians are still living a life like they don't have Christ. There's no real transformation happened. They think Christian...

The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.”
Luke 17:5
Luke 17:5
You may be in a situation that you feel that you don't have enough faith to trust the power of the living God. But don't worry, He will not cast you off because of your faithless situation. Like the Apostles, they had felt the same.
If you will read the story about the boy who had been possessed by the devil, the disciples that time couldn't cast out the devil that suffered him since he was a little boy.
Until Jesus came and the father of the boy begged Him and said,
"If You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!". Mark 9:22b NASB
This is what most Christian do, when approaching God. They tried to beg God if He can do something in their situation. But if we will continue reading, that is not of faith.
And Jesus said to him, “‘If You can?’ All things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23 NASB
We will see clearly here that faith is believing the Lord first before you can see its manifestation. Its believing and declaring that, "By His stripes I am healed!(Isaiah 53:5)". Its believing and declaring the finished work of Christ over your negative situation. That's how faith works.
Later on, the father realized that was faithlessness, admitted it to God and still received the healing of his son. Then, later on the disciples also asked Jesus on why they couldn't cast it out.
And He said to them, “This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer.” Mark 9:29 NASB
Does it mean the disciples did not pray or they were lack in prayer and fasting when they cast out the demon? Of course not, they'd prayed. But the problem was also the same with the father of the boy, the faithlessness of their prayer. They were all faithless during that time.
The key to unlock the promises of God into our life is faith. You cannot buy what you want, if you do not have a peso or dollar in your wallet. The same in the kingdom of God. Faith is the currency of heaven. You cannot unlock the door of the kingdom of heaven unless without faith. One day, the disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith, and Jesus answered them,
And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you. Luke 17:6 NASB
Mustard seed is just a little tiny seed. What does it mean? It means by simply believing Jesus, super natural miracle can happen to you. God's word says,
"Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you." Mark 11:24 NASB.
Friends, God is not requiring us a perfect faith in order to receive. Just simply believe you have it in Jesus' name and you will have it.
Thoughts of the day:
"God is not requiring us a perfect faith in order to receive. Just simply believe."
