Dealing In The New Covenant

For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.  Hebrews 8:7, NIV We only emphasize that Christian life we are in is not based on another form of religious ritual but on a covenant. The question is what type of covenant are you in? Is it a covenant of religion or a covenant of love? It should be a covenant of love. Love is a person and that is God (see 1 John 4:16). The covenant we are in is a covenant based on who He is and not on who we are. It's based on what He has done and not on what we have done.  When you sign an agreement form, you understand what type of covenant or agreement you are signing in. And this is the reason why still many Christians missed the true essence of Christianity. It's because they don't understand the covenant they are in. In result, many are so called Christians are still living a life like they don't have Christ. There's no real transformation happened. They think Christian...

Day 30: Storm Under Permission

Did you saw the track of the typhoon Ambo in the Philippines recently? Look at where it began. It begans at the southern part and ended up in the northern part of the Phillippines. It seems the storm has been planned and permitted before it landfalls to a certain location.

The Lord showed me this revelation and I learned that every storm that enter a certain nation is under God's permission. This is true in the bible when Jesus and His disciples was in the boat crossing the lake to the other side. While Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat, a fierce storm came. High waves were breaking the boat and it began to fill with water. The disciples that time was so afraid and told Jesus, " Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” Mark 4:38. Imagine the creator of heaven and earth was inside of their boat and yet they became afraid.

When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39

We will see clearly here that even the storm is under the permission of our Lord Jesus. Even the disciples was terrified of this.

The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!” Mark 4:41

This is also true when it comes to the storms of our lives. Every storm that enter our lives doesn't come from God, it comes from the devil. The bible tells us that the work of the enemy is to steal, to kill and to destroy. (John 10:10)

Why there are storms in our lives?

Storms or problems are challenges to make our faith more stronger. God allows it to test our faith. You don't need to forget that in the middle of the storm, God is still in control. You may not control the situation but you can exercise your faith in the middle of the situation.

As being a child of God in Christ, you also have the permission over your negative situation. You can say to the storms of your life to stop in the mighty name of Jesus and it will stop because you believe and declare it in His name. As you keep believing and declaring it, you will see its breakthrough. That's the reason why we are experiencing trials not to punish us but to test our faith.

Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4:40 NLT

Still the disciples were afraid eventhough the creator of the universe was inside of their boat. That's why Jesus asked why do you still have no faith? As a human, it is normal to feel afraid when negative situation happens around us. That's why it is important to boost our faith time to time, that the victory we already have in Christ might manifest upon our lives. Faith is all about our belief system. It's all in our minds. God wants us to captivate our thoughts to Jesus and what He has done at the cross. That's how we get the victory over the storms.
