Dealing In The New Covenant

For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.  Hebrews 8:7, NIV We only emphasize that Christian life we are in is not based on another form of religious ritual but on a covenant. The question is what type of covenant are you in? Is it a covenant of religion or a covenant of love? It should be a covenant of love. Love is a person and that is God (see 1 John 4:16). The covenant we are in is a covenant based on who He is and not on who we are. It's based on what He has done and not on what we have done.  When you sign an agreement form, you understand what type of covenant or agreement you are signing in. And this is the reason why still many Christians missed the true essence of Christianity. It's because they don't understand the covenant they are in. In result, many are so called Christians are still living a life like they don't have Christ. There's no real transformation happened. They think Christian...

Speak To Your Troubles

Are you facing a giant mountain today? These mountains we are talking is not a physical mountain but a mountain of troubles in front of you. Know that you can command it to be thrown into the sea. You can command it to be disappear.

Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. Matthew 21:21

If you remember the story of Israelites, when they were free to leave Egypt, Pharaoh changed his mind and chased after Israelites with his 600 best chariots and commanders to kill them. Israelites were being panicked when they were trapped on the sea shore in the wilderness and began  to complain to Moses (Exodus 14:5-12). But the bible says it was all a set up plan.

Then the Lord gave these instructions to Moses: “Order the Israelites to turn back and camp by Pi-hahiroth between Migdol and the sea. Camp there along the shore, across from Baal-zephon. Then Pharaoh will think, ‘The Israelites are confused. They are trapped in the wilderness!’ Exodus 14:1-3

We will see that long before Israelites being panicked and complained to Moses, being trapped in the wilderness was all a plan but yet Israelites forgot it.

And once again I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after you. I have planned this in order to display my glory through Pharaoh and his whole army. After this the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord!” So the Israelites camped there as they were told. Exodus 14:4

Like Israelites, you may be surrounded by a giant troubles today. Know it is a set up plan. God allows it not to destroy you but to show you and the people around you His great glory and power upon your life.

As we continue in the story, as most of us feel, Moses also loses hope in the middle of his stuck situation.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea. Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground. Exodus 14:15-16

For a finite human mind, it's kind of bit funny here to think to divide the sea by means of a staff and just by raising hand. But to Moses, we never read any complaint. He knows who he was talking with. He knows what it is impossible to man is possible to God. He knows what is very hard to man is very easy to God. This is the spirit of faith!

And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will charge in after the Israelites. My great glory will be displayed through Pharaoh and his troops, his chariots, and his charioteers. When my glory is displayed through them, all Egypt will see my glory and know that I am the Lord!” Exodus 14:17-18

Friends, you maybe stuck on a negative situation today, divide it in the name of Jesus! And it will divide. For what purpose? It simply for the glory of His name. God wants to reveal His glory upon you so that He may be glorified through you in the midst of the people around you. Your part is to believe and declare it.

As we go on to the story, Moses really raised his hand over the sea and whoah! the sea divided with walls of water on each side and the Israelites wallked in the middle of it in a dry ground. That's amazing power of an awesome God!

Still the Egyptians chased Israelites in the middle of the sea but they had noticed that they were already in God's territory (Exodus 14:23-25). As all Israelites reached the other side, Moses raised up his hand again as the Lord told him, and the waters rushed back and covered all the Egyptians.

This is also the same with our troubles chasing after us today. Trap all your troubles in the middle of God's presence. When you have brought it in His presence, you are already in control of it. That's your opportunity to command to your troubles whatever you want it to happen and it will obey.
