For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. Hebrews 8:7, NIV We only emphasize that Christian life we are in is not based on another form of religious ritual but on a covenant. The question is what type of covenant are you in? Is it a covenant of religion or a covenant of love? It should be a covenant of love. Love is a person and that is God (see 1 John 4:16). The covenant we are in is a covenant based on who He is and not on who we are. It's based on what He has done and not on what we have done. When you sign an agreement form, you understand what type of covenant or agreement you are signing in. And this is the reason why still many Christians missed the true essence of Christianity. It's because they don't understand the covenant they are in. In result, many are so called Christians are still living a life like they don't have Christ. There's no real transformation happened. They think Christian...

But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.
Hebrews 8:6
I love that phrase, "for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises". That's where we are today. We are living in a far better covenant with God. That's the New Covenant of Grace accomplished by our Lord Jesus through his death, burial and resurrection. Its a covenant or agreement better than the previous covenant to Moses, Abraham, and Adam. Its a better covenant because it is established on better promises. And the greatest promise of all the promises of all the Covenant is the promised of the Holy Spirit.(see Ephesians 1:13)
In the beginning after creating heaven and earth, God created Adam. After creating him, he noticed that he was alone. That's why God made for him a helper that was suitable for him. And that was Eve.
Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Genesis 2:18
But if you will notice, in the time of Jesus, he also said the same word to his disciples when he was comforting them.
16 "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,
If you will notice, the word Helper here starts at capital H and not in a small letter, signifies it is the Spirit of God.
17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you".
The good news now is the Spirit of God is with us and living inside us. That's amazing! In the time of Adam, though God was speaking to them, though He was with them. God was not living inside them.
This is liberating truth! When God is inside you, you will never be an orphan. You will never be alone. He is with you and be in you forever. You will never go empty when you know who lives inside you. You no longer need to trust in Eve (a picture of trusting man). You have a better promise, that's the promised of the Holy Spirit living inside you. Your helper is no longer solely man. Your Helper is Christ (see Psalms 121:1-2). When you know who lives inside you, you will never live your life according to the opinion of others. Your validation is based on God's word and not on this world, that you are accepted and loved through the One who lives inside you.
God can make a way through you and for you in whatever situation you are in. He can use anyone or anything he wants to. He will provide, restore and heal. Be in peace and in of good cheer, the Christ who overcame the world lives inside you (see John 16:33).
