In a world full of uncertainties, a world that is subject to changes. In a world full of unreliabilities, a world that is subject to lies. It is important that you are rooted and established in the love that never changes and never fails that is the love of Christ. We are living in a fallen world. Don't expect hope in a fallen world, or else, all you will get is disappointment. The bible says, "Hope does not disappoint us for the love of God has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit" (see Romans 5:5). Hope is only found in Christ and what He has done on the cross for us. Hope is only found in the love of God through the Holy Spirit living inside us.
That's why the Lord reminds us in his word that we need to be rooted and established in the truth of His love. So that whatever challenges life may bring us, we will remain standing firm and secure in His love rooted and established from the inside of us.
How to be rooted and established in love?
"May have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ" Ephesians 3:18
The way to be rooted and established is by fellowship with fellow brethren. It is by feasting together the word of His grace with co-believers. Like every firewood, it becomes a burning furnace when it gathers together. Likewise, when every believer has gather together, faith becomes a burning furnace. No evil can conquer or stop what God is doing in your life. But when a piece of firewood seperated from the burning furnace, whatever burning fire the wood has it will dies and soon no fire. It is through fellowship we get to know the unmeasurable love of God.
and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:19
When we first choose to know the love of Christ more than anything in this world, we will reign above every challenges the world will bring. Its all because of the love rooted and established from the inside of us. Otherwise, when we are not rooted and established in the love, all we can get is disappointments and discouragements, its all because we choose to be rooted and established ourselves on a wrong foundation.
There's no room for disappointments and discouragements for God has amazingly loved us despite who we are and what we have done. You can be filled by all the fullness of God and be whole, by knowing and believing that you are amazingly loved by Him. It all became possible because of the finished work of the cross
