Is it a covenant of religion or a covenant of love? It should be a covenant of love. Love is a person and that is God (see 1 John 4:16). The covenant we are in is a covenant based on who He is and not on who we are. It's based on what He has done and not on what we have done. When you sign an agreement form, you understand what type of covenant or agreement you are signing in. And this is the reason why still many Christians missed the true essence of Christianity. Whether you feel it or not, from the time you put your faith in Christ Jesus, you received the Holy Spirit, you receive the power of God. The power that rose Christ from the dead is the same power that you received and now working from the inside you. (see Romans 8:11)

Know this. The greatest thing God is working and changing in our lives is our mindset. God is changing our way of thinking from being a carnal or selfish mind into the mind of Christ. Look at what the scripture says,
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. [Romans 12:2]
that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind [Ephesians 4:22-23]
Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.[Proverbs 4:23]
The greatest miracle God is working in our lives begins from the inside of us and that is changing our way of thinking. This is true transformation. This is the power of God. When our mind is renewed, it will birth out new life.
